You are Invited to a Quilt Festival

Amy at Park City Girl is hosting a virtual Quilt Festival.  She did one in April to coincide with Spring Quilt Market and she's doing another  to coincide with Fall Quilt Market.  This is my entry:

I made this crib size quilt in May or June 2006 for Abigail using all stash fabric.

I quilted it on my big Nolting that I had back then.  The quilting pattern alternates from strip to strip.  One row stipple, one row ruler work, one row loops, one row different ruler work, etc.

This quilt is well loved but still going strong.  Sometimes it is folded up and used as a dolly bed.  Sometimes it is a play rug.  Sometimes it is a car blanket.

Hello!

We are busy (okay, okay ... Michael is busy) with a few outdoor projects before it gets too cold to paint and I've had gopher duty.  That's fine by me as I'd much rather get the supplies then do the work.

No new projects on the quilting front but  there is a lot going on in the knitting arena.  I have one baby sweater completed, one baby sweater done except for the sleeves, several wool soakers in various stages of completion, and a whole slew of free patterns are in que that I found on Ravelry.

I don't like "naked" blog posts so I'll leave you with this picture.  It's yarn I dyed last fall and never stocked because of our house project.  If you are interested in any of it, send me an email.  It's all worsted and aran weight.  Perfect for wool soakers!

How'd this Happen?!?!?!

I've got the knitting bug and I have it bad.  Really.  Bad.  It must have happened when I turned the calendar to October.  I also realized that my Dear Sister is due in just a short few months and I haven't knit ANYTHING for her new Little Miss.  Thank you, Ravelry, for helping me plan a woolen wardrobe and providing me with free patterns.  =)  Hats, sweaters, wool soakers, and booties ... check, check, check.

I'm pleased to announce that I my first HQ16 quilted top is done.  It's a little dolly quilt that I pieced in June.  The binding is 1/2 sewn on and then it will go through the "fluff up" process in the washer and dryer.
