Erin's Favorite Shawl

Half Granny Square Shawl
by Anastacia Zittel
(Ravelry link)

One Skein of Lang Yarns Mille Colori - unknown colorway
Ultra Alpaca Fine - border (from the All Shawl pattern)
Size 7/4.5mm hook

In Progress ... working on it whilst I wait for Abigail to get out of school.  Yes, I am That Weird Mom that sits on the steps knitting or crocheting All The Time.  =)

Do you see the little duck up by my shoulder?  That is my grandfather's tie pin that he wore every Sunday for as long as I can remember.  I use it as a small shawl pin.

This shawl is 100% Erin and I could wear it Every Single Day.

Orange and white polka dot cardigan ... it matches.

Green Max Studio dress ... it matches.

100% wool LL Bean sweater ... talk about being cozy warm!
(that's the sweater I am wearing in the pictures - $2 thrift store find)

Khaki, Jean, or Grey ... it matches.

I think everyone should have a shawl like this in their wardrobe.  =)

Oh, wow!! This is soo amazing! You know, I have been wanting to make a shawl like this forever but other projects and good yarn have kept me from it. I can't stand wool or other itchy yarn against my neck and cotton is just not right for a shawl like this! Maybe, maybe I'll use my favorite acrylic yarn soon. It's just that I already have 2 blankets to finish before I can allow myself to start.. or will I be a bad girl and start anyway?
And, I am a wierd mom that crochets everywhere to. At the dentist and in other waiting rooms too. :)
Cheers!

I'm that weird mom, too! And you're right -- everyone needs a shawl like that. I think it's going to be my next project, in fact! Thanks for the great idea!

Hi Erin! It's nice to see your smiling face! That shawl is a beaut, and one of my favorite patterns. The yarn is just perfect.
Enjoy your week!

Hello,
Very nice creation,
I have a question please...
Is this yarn the classic mille colori or the baby or socks and lace one ?
Thanks
